Charlotte, pretty please write about your time in Korea! I want to know what treatments you did (and didn’t do) and your overall perspective on their beauty culture !

Treatments, for one, definitely more normalized. Will do have a few things I'd like to debunk first :)

Hi Charlotte! Just wanted to point out that in the screen cap of the comment about the 11 lines, the person’s handle is still visible. It looked like you’d meant to obscure it or I wouldn’t presume to say anything

I love learning from you! I am progressing at a snail’s pace towards enjoying aging but every cm closer is worth it. Thank you for your contributions on that journey 🐌

So spot on! I've been worried about injectables becoming the norm and feel like we've reached that moment. Thanks for all you do to create transparency around what's driving beauty standards and for being a sunscreen advocate.

As ever, fantastic piece (I'd watched your TikTok on this too). I have to admit I am part of the problem here! I was always pretty anti botox and take skincare very seriously as i am SO pale so sunscreen is life. However, I started getting botox ~once ever 8 months. in my frown lines because during a a bout of covid/Christmas/writing my final essay for my Masters I gave myself an entirely new frown line. I have been extremely happy with the result but in my group of friends and family that are not interested in tweakments, I find myself having to qualify the superficial reason I did it with the fact that it has helped my tension headaches (also true, but not my motivation!). Really good to take a step back and see where I fit within the beauty industrial complex!!
