If you could in one of the keeping it sections do an explainer on peptides vs growth factors that would be incredible. I’m so confused on the differences between the two, if growth factors are really doing anything and which to use (if any)

First off- thank you! I have learned so much from you! Second- can you cover different facials and what they are for? So hard to get an answer from my dermatologist or a facial provider, as they all wanna sell what they have to sell. Peel? What kind of peel? Can I do it at home? Laser? Light? Microderm? Needling? It's very confusing! I wanna care for my skin but I am also not able to drop 300/month!

Alllll depends on what you’re looking for. Mind asking me the reason you feel you need these? LMK! Always start with the why am I here, let me know the why.

No problem! I am in my fifties- been lucky to have good skin, albeit sensitive, just making sure I care for it in all the right ways. Trying my best to age gracefully and naturally. Living in NYC, I figure having a facial schedule may be good to add to my regimen. My derm says a glycolic peel once a month (350) is all I need - and also all she offers. Facial peeps- well everyone has an opinion. Google search- not sure what sources to trust! Unfortunately cannot drop 350 a month, every month, but when I do drop $$$ just wondering what is the best way to go. Area concerns are moisture and preventation. I have given up on the hereditary dark circles.

I'm always confused about which product goes on first, in which order to layer them, and how long to wait in between layers. Lately I've been using mandelic acid in the morning (I love the way it feels) and thought: this might be an ineffective process... my whole goal is to improve texture of my skin. I'm almost 50 and truly DNGAF about wrinkles; I'm still treating scarring from two decades of cystic acne and the effects of regular alcohol consumption until my mid 40s. Ugh.

Thank you! I’d second cherry’s request for more info on laser treatments specifically. I find the info on these to be primarily from laser manufacturers or from med spas; both of which feel like incomplete explainers. What laser treatments do you use?

But also I’ve been curious about the fermented products in KBeauty. I’d be interested to know what’s your general take on those products? What are they meant to treat? Is there data to suggest they are more helpful for what they are meant to treat what’s already available?

Does Benzoyl Peroxide count as a category? All of its forms, how it works, what it’s good for, etc.
